Country singer does justice to one of Guns N’ Roses’ biggest hits

Few would probably think of Carrie Underwood and Guns N’ Roses in the same sentence, let alone imagine that a country singer would do justice to one of the band’s biggest rock hits. Yet, this is precisely what happened the other night.

Above is a video of Carrie at the CMA Music Festival the other night, where she performed “Paradise City” from GNR.

From her outfit and styling, it’s pretty clear from the start that the intention was to be as faithful to the original song as possible, and not come up with her own version of it.

Wearing short cutoffs, a white tee and her hair loose on her back, and looking like a female (and more stylish) version of Axl Rose, Carrie even tried to imitate his dance moves, with more or less success.

Check out her tribute to GNR above and let me know in the comments section below if you too are among those who believe that she did justice to “Paradise City.”
