Carrie Fisher is a much slimmer and healthier version of herself of some months ago. In the 9 months she’s been a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, the actress and authoress has lost 50 pounds – and she’s just showed off her thinner figure on The Today Show.

Known for her iconic role as Princess Leia in “Star Wars,” her shows and her books, Fisher is also known for being very outspoken about her weight related issues.

Hopefully, not anymore from now on. She is now the spokesperson of Jenny Craig and, since she’s been on the diet, she’s lost 50 pounds – and she might even go over that, she says on Today, as the video below will confirm.

“I couldn’t leave the house [to go shopping], because they didn’t have sizes [large enough]. I exhausted the alphabet on bra sizes,” Fisher says, admitting that she would have days when she couldn’t look at herself in the mirror.

At first, she wrongly assumed all women over 50 have this issue, but then she realized she wasn’t getting old – she “was getting fat.”

This was the moment she realized something needed to be done about her weight, so she embarked on Jenny Craig.

Fisher says she’s now able to buy clothes she’d never wear again because of how large her body had become. However, since she’s 50, she’ll probably refrain from going sleeveless.

Speaking of whether it was hard for her to stick to the diet, Fisher says it was so only at first. She’s now “addicted to the cereal, because it tastes like contraband, it tastes like cheating.”

However, she knows for a fact she couldn’t have done this on her own, and she credits the Jenny Craig consultant for helping her out, by allowing her “to complain to, stamp my fat foot and say I didn’t want to do it.”

What Carrie Fisher doesn’t say a single word about is her apparent makeover post-weight loss. As we speak, there’s a lot of talk online about how she’s virtually unrecognizable and the kind of procedures she may have had to look so refreshed.
