Star sparks rumors at poolparty birthday bash

Carmen Electra turned 37 about a week ago. It was a week of celebration that culminated with a giant poolparty birthday bash held at one of the fanciest hotels in Las Vegas. Contrary to what fans might have expected, the star did not break out her best swimsuit for the occasion, but kept decently covered all along, sparkling rumors of a possible pregnancy, as several media outlets can confirm.

A former member of the burlesque dance act the Pussycat Dolls, and a glamour model with quite a reputation, fans probably expected to see Carmen show 20something-year-olds how to rock a bathing suit in style. Since she failed to do so and kept covered for the entire duration of the party – in sharp contrast to what the other guests were wearing – word started to circulate in the industry that she was actually hiding a baby bump.

Electra refused to take off the muumuu even when dancing, which has only come to add more fuel to the fire. If the rumor proves to be accurate, and Carmen confirms that she is, indeed, pregnant, it is believed the baby is Rob Patterson’s, her fiancé, a member of Korn, whom the star started dating a while back and who proposed to her last year, also on her birthday.

The former glamour model turned television personality and successful burlesque dancer has been married twice before, for which reason she is now in no rush to tie the knot with Patterson. Her relationship with basketball star Dennis Rodman lasted only a couple of days, managing to end up among the top positions in all charts of celebrity shortest marriages, while the marriage with guitarist Dave Navarro lasted more, but still ended in a somewhat bitter divorce.

Whether Carmen and Rob will be walking down the aisle should she be pregnant is yet to be determined. However, if that turns out to be the case, a quickie in Las Vegas will certainly not be the issue, since she repeatedly said that she would never make the same mistake she did with Rodman again. “My advice to anyone is to not get married in Vegas. Do not get married at the drive-thru in Vegas, especially. Take your time – enjoy it! It’s important to think out marriage in general because it’s a huge commitment. Besides that, I hate to say it, but it’s a lot of paperwork and a lot of emotions. It can be difficult.” the star said a while back about what it’s like to rush into marriage and then have to deal with the divorce proceedings.
