With some failed marriages under her belt and several other brief relationships, former glamour model, actress and television star Carmen Electra is more than able to offer a piece of advice to all those considering a Vegas quickie. Don’t, the gorgeous starlet says, and she speaks from experience in this recent interview with People magazine.

“My advice to anyone is to not get married in Vegas. Do not get married at the drive-thru in Vegas, especially. Take your time – enjoy it!” Carmen tells the mag, referring to her quick wedding to NBA star Dennis Rodman, from whom she filed for an annulment just nine days after the rushed ceremony.

Carmen also tells the magazine, and whoever might be interested or considering marrying in Vegas that, while doing it might seem like a walk in the park, it’s the undoing it part that can be a real burden. “It's important to think out marriage in general because it's a huge commitment. Besides that, I hate to say it, but it's a lot of paperwork and a lot of emotions. It can be difficult.” the starlet explains.

Also going to show that she has learned from her past mistakes, Carmen is now engaged to former Korn guitarist Rob Patterson. With all that, despite being official, the star admits they have no plans of getting married too soon, as they want to truly get to know each other first and only afterwards make plans for a life spent together.

“There's no pressure,” Carmen says of how she and Rob see married life, and as an explanation for why they haven’t made any plans so far. “I've learned that you have to be yourself and go at your own pace.” she further explains. Carmen and Rob were in Vegas over the weekend, hosting the New Year’s Eve party at Tao. Needless to mention, there was no quick wedding to speak of.
