The idea behind Volkswagen's Super Bowl commercial has been tried many times before, but at least the Germans are saying that they “are still working on it.”

The ad starts out with two German-sounding scientists in white coats, working in a lab, to make the perfect Volkswagen commercial based on the most popular things that Americans enjoy. They explain their algorithm and then start a video recording.

The clip just released on YouTube shows Carmen Electra dancing in a tight-fitting dress dancing next to a car as some of the most popular virals on the internet today are mashed all together. Cats, babies, celebrities and groin hits seem to be the things that amuse Americans the most.

More than likely, this video was done in order to stimulate interest in the real commercial that will be aired during the Super Bowl. The campaign also features another behind the scenes clip where Carmen Electra and some of the people involved in the production of the ad speak about the experience.
