Season 2 of X Factor USA may be over but the controversy is yet to die down. People are still talking about the awful duet LeAnn Rimes did with finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar and how she later said it was the kid’s fault it came out so bad.

First things first: above is the duet. It’s clear that LeAnn seems completely “off,” forgetting lyrics and trying to out-sing Carly.

In a statement to TMZ (which she later recanted), Rimes said the performance was so bad because Carly was having serious trouble with the song and she was just trying to help her out.

The girl’s family is shocked that Rimes would have the guts to throw a 13-year-old kid under the bus like that, the same media outlet says.

“Sources connected with the family tell us the 13-year-old girl's mother is livid that Rimes would dare say Carly Rose was ‘nervous and had trouble hitting the right notes’ when she sang ‘How Do I Live’,” TMZ writes.

“Carly Rose's mother and other relatives are telling people they can't believe LeAnn threw their daughter under the bus, and that it was clear – Carly Rose was a pro and even out-performed LeAnn at her own song,” adds the same media outlet.

Safe to say, LeAnn Rimes is probably on many people’s black list.
