There is a brand new superhero movie that's getting everyone's hopes up for a massive and extremely entertaining project. The news hasn't been out long, and people are still feeling about in the media, trying to sift through the reports and figure out which one is real and which is not.

The name of the movie is “Suicide Squad” and it's supposed to be about a team of villains from the DC Comics, coming together as a a special ops outfit, working for the government, taking on impossible jobs.

Cara sort of confirms the casting with a drawing on her Instagram

There has been some chatter about the project, but so far, nothing has been confirmed. Today, British supermodel Cara Delevigne has sparked lots of chatter on the subject, after she teased that she might be playing the female character Harley Quinn in the movie.

The news was backed by a report from Latino Review, which claimed that Cara had already signed with Warner Bros for the 2016 film.

The model decided to fuel the rumors by posting a cartoon photo of the character which had her face plastered on top of it to her Instagram feed. People immediately took the hint and decided that it was a good idea. Some were more reserved and commented, “Better be the best damn Harley Quinn you can be. You got some big shoes to fill.”

The character is part of a huge Warner project called “Suicide Squad”

Harley Quinn is the hapless sidekick of the Joker, the Batman villain. She is madly in love with him and will do just about anything for him. She is also known for her killer curves, made obvious by her skin-tight outfit made after a clown's costume.

Casting Cara as Harley Quinn is bound to incite the same discussions as the Wonder Woman role given to Gal Gadot did. At the time, the “Fast & Furious” actress was blasted for being too thin for the part, as Wonder Woman was much bulkier in the comics. The same can be said about the pin-like Cara, who is at home on the catwalk, but might have to fatten up a bit to fill out the Harley Quinn suit.

The “Suicide Squad” project is already gearing up to be the next big film from Warner Bros., with several big names rumored to be attached to it. Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Tom Hardy have all been included on the list of most likely cast options, so it looks like it's going to be big.

The release date is said to be in 2016, so there is a bit of a wait for this one, folks. This gives Cara plenty of time to catch up on her acting skills, as she's set to feature in “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” and “The Face of an Angel.”
