The official Dark Messiah of Might and Magic website features some new information about the upcoming multi-player patch. Apparently, this patch will bring some new game content as it will also optimize your gaming experience.

Two new CTF (capture the flag) maps will be made available but in this new game mode, your main goal will not be to kill your enemy, but to sneak into his base, capture his flag while preventing him from stealing yours. You are probably familiar with this capture the flag game mode from games like Unreal Tournament, Halo or Call of Duty 2.

This patch will bring much more than a few new maps, it will also optimize your characters. Know that Assassin Backstab was improved as well as Assassin Triggered Poison Orbs-recharge time and Mana cost were added. The Warrior Leaping Attack glitches were fixed and Mage FireBlast-Projectile flight speed reduced.

There will also be a single-player patch released and this also brings a lot of improvements and changes. Combat Difficulty has been raised for Hard mode and a whole new difficulty level has been added (Hardcore). If you are using a GeForce FX video card to play Dark Messiah, know that you won't be experiencing graphical glitches when you go under water, equipping a Magic Weapon or when being almost dead.

The max number of potions or food you can stack in your inventory is now properly checked and inconsistency with the way Xana behaves during City of Flames chapter events depending on player's choice has been taken care of.

Small memory leaks on the Particle System and clear value have been fixed and the dev button that could be found behind walls in the Epilogue has also been removed.
