Capcom vs. SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 is a video game produced and published by Capcom Entertainment. It
was developed for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony, the Xbox from Microsoft, the Dreamcast from SEGA and the Game Cube from Nintendo. The title is classed as a fighting game played from a third person perspective.
It brings together characters from Capcom and old SNK games. The main gameplay mechanic, other than the normal ones for fighting titles, is the possibility to select a "groove" right before each of the battles. There are three grooves that are pre-defined by the game for each of the sides and, after you complete it, you get to define your own. Each of them will affect the way the characters perform in the actual battle sequence.
The game is pretty typical of Capcom fighting releases. There are six attack buttons and even the SNK characters, that usually use only four attack buttons, have been modified in order to use this control scheme. The characters you get to play with are pretty much all taken from previous releases. Fighters like Garou, Mark of the Wolves and Last Blade make an appearance and even Todoh, who is the boss in the first Art of Fighting game is also included.
GAMEPLAY HINTS
Infinite combo
If you have Ex 1 or Ex 2 groove with infinite groove points, you can create an endless chain of level 2 super combos. If Ex 1 or Ex 2 groove is like the C groove, you can use almost any level 2 super combo if you have unlimited super combo gauge. If you start with a level 2 super combo, you can keep hitting your opponent until you want to stop. You just have to keep hitting the buttons for the super combo. You can finish by doing any level 3 super combo. This works well for Ken's Shoryu Reppa or just about any level 2 super combo, then finish with a level three or one combo. This is useful for eliminating Bosses such as Ultimate Rugal or Shin Akuma.
Easy points
Set the levels on the easiest level and increase the damage. Fight the first person. He or she is very easy. Do good damage and make sure you end the first round with the Super Combo. Play the second round. Beat them up, then press Start on controller two to enter a versus fight. The points you have accumulated just before the second player joins will be the same when you return to fight the first person again. You will also have to defeat them twice. You can keep repeating this process until you have accumulated the desired amount of points.
Successfully complete all survivor mode, with any EX set if needed. Attempt to create an EX groove greater than 4000 points. Answer "Yes" and the game will allow you to do so.
