Capcom vs. SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 is a video game produced and published by Capcom Entertainment. It
was developed for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony, the Xbox from Microsoft, the Dreamcast from SEGA and the Game Cube from Nintendo. The title is classed as a fighting game played from a third person perspective.

It brings together characters from Capcom and old SNK games. The main gameplay mechanic, other than the normal ones for fighting titles, is the possibility to select a "groove" right before each of the battles. There are three grooves that are pre-defined by the game for each of the sides and, after you complete it, you get to define your own. Each of them will affect the way the characters perform in the actual battle sequence.

The game is pretty typical of Capcom fighting releases. There are six attack buttons and even the SNK characters, that usually use only four attack buttons, have been modified in order to use this control scheme. The characters you get to play with are pretty much all taken from previous releases. Fighters like Garou, Mark of the Wolves and Last Blade make an appearance and even Todoh, who is the boss in the first Art of Fighting game is also included.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Easy Boss challenge mode

Choose a good fighter such as Ken or Ryu. When you are facing the last Boss, if you are losing by one round and there is not a lot of power remaining, press Start on controller two and repeat until you win.

Use Haomaru the samurai. He looks weak and slow, but his slash and jump slash have a wide range and he also does big damage. If you jump around with Airguard equipped and slash at the correct time, you will not have problems defeating any Boss.

Easy survival mode

After unlocking the Extra Options, go to "Option Mode" at the main menu. Go to "Extra Options", select "Player One Life Gauge Type" and change it to "No Damage". Then, go to "Groove Gauge Type" and change it to "Infinite". After this, start survival mode and defeat all 46 characters without taking damage and your Groove Bar will always be full.

There is an easy way to win when playing in "All Survival" mode. Go to the options menu and set the difficulty to the minimum. Next, set the damage level to maximum. Exit the menu and select the "All Survival" mode. Choose the S Groove and continue to the character selection screen. Then, choose Zangief. Keep getting your opponent in the corner and grab him/her endlessly. Notice that this move does more damage than before. The best damaging move is the Russian Aerial Spin when done at its highest level. Your enemy should go down quickly. It is possible to complete the game in seventeen minutes by doing this. Note: You will fight Shin Akuma and Ultimate Rugal at the end. After accomplishing this, you will unlock the infinite edit Groove points.
