Capcom vs. SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 is a video game produced and published by Capcom
Entertainment. It was developed for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony, the Xbox from Microsoft, the Dreamcast from SEGA and the Game Cube from Nintendo. The title is classed as a fighting game played from a third person perspective.
It brings together characters from Capcom and old SNK games. The main gameplay mechanic, other than the normal ones for fighting titles, is the possibility to select a "groove" right before each of the battles. There are three grooves that are pre-defined by the game for each of the sides and, after you complete them, you get to define your own. Each of them will affect the way the characters perform in the actual battle sequence.
The game is pretty typical of Capcom fighting releases. There are six attack buttons and even the SNK characters, that usually use only four attack buttons, have been modified in order to use this control scheme. The characters you get to play with are pretty much all taken from previous releases. Fighters like Garou, Mark of the Wolves and Last Blade make an appearance and even Todoh, who is the boss in the first Art of Fighting game, is included.

Cameo appearances
Look closely at the edge of the ring in the Shanghai stage to see June from Star Gladiator, an early Capcom fighting game. In the England stage, aside from Dudley, you can see Elena from Street Fighter 3 at the left side of the level, and Billy from Fatal Fury in front of the building marked "C.V.S.". During the second part of that stage, you can see Rose from Street Fighter Alpha and Rouge from Power Stone having a conversation in the same location where you saw Elena at the start of the first round. In the Nairobi stage, look on top of the car on the left side of the stage. You will see Falcon from Power Stone watching the race.
In the African stage there is a cameo appearance by Falcon from Powerstone and Leona Heidern from King Of Fighters. They are both on top of a jeep on the left side of the stage.
