Video game publisher Capcom says that it knows about the problems that some gamers have had with redeeming bonuses downloadable content pack characters in the PlayStation Vita version of Street Fighter x Tekken and is working to resolve them.

It seems that some kind of error is linked to the codes that are supposed to be included in the Vita version of the game.

Players were supposed to get access to extra content on the handheld that includes: 12 new characters to use, 38 alternate costume versions for the original line-up and 12 more costumes for the new character for those who placed a pre-order.

The codes bundled only open up access to this last piece of content, which gamers cannot use without the characters themselves.

The developer says on the official Unity blog that, “We apologize for the inconvenience. We’re aware of the issues with DLC codes and we’re working with Sony to make sure everything gets fixed. Please hang tight a little longer and rest assured you will get your DL goods.”

It’s not clear how the publisher plans to deliver the extra content to players.

Capcom has been hit by a number of problems with Street Fighter x Tekken, after gamers complained about the fact that DLC for the home console versions of the game was already included on the disk.

The reaction from gamers persuaded the company to re-evaluate its overall approach to DLC and its cost.

Since then, the company has announced that the content included on the Resident Evil 6 disk will be free for all players after being activated via title update.

At the moment, Namco Bandai is working on Tekken x Street Fighter, which is supposed to launch during 2013 with a new set of mechanics, specific to the developer, and the same cast of characters.
