A lot of gaming companies have a very important marketing department. The work done here is probably as important as the one done in the development studios as you can have the best game in the world, but if nobody knows about it, then sales will surely disappoint.

Capcom, one of the most reputed Japanese game developers out there, has recently pulled off quite a marketing scheme, as it has announced that it will launch, together with Visa, customized credit cards, branded with some of the most expected titles from the gaming company, like Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 or Bionic Commando.

Those who want to get a hold of one of these very interesting credit cards can do so here but the service is limited to residents of the United States, which must be over 18, or, if they are between 13 and 17, get their parents to sign them up. This isn't any ordinary credit or debit card though, as it serves as a deposit for your money, which can then be used to buy Capcom-related games or merchandise.

What benefits does it hold? On one hand it offers a 15 percent discount on any purchase you make from the Capcom Online Store, you can also get cash-back rewards from purchases made from various partners of the Japanese company, like iTunes or Target, or even earn and redeem Capcom Unity Points, which enables you to download free stuff, including in-game content. Also, holders of such cards will be eligible to enter in closed beta stages of games, to attend VIP game launch events or even be included in a comic book or appear as an extra in a Capcom movie set.

All in all, the benefits are very numerous, and people who really like the company will surely be attracted by the cards, which feature interesting finishes on them.
