It looks like it’s delay season for games, as several major titles have been postponed since the beginning of the year. The latest entry on the list of delayed games is Capcom’s Resident Evil Revelations 2, which was supposed to arrive in North America on February 17 and February 18 in the rest of the world.

According to the press release that we’ve just received in our email inbox, the first episode of the Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be launched in North America on February 24.

Basically, Episode 1 of Resident Evil Revelations 2 will arrive on Steam on February 25. This will be a global release, so PC players all over the world will have access to it on the same day.

The next episodes will be released one per week, as follows: Episode 2 (March 3), Episode 3 (March 10) and Episode 4 (March 17). These are the release dates for North America, but the rest of the world will get them as well, just one day later.

The complete season will be available on March 17 in NA and March 20 in Europe

We have also received an official statement where Capcom explains the reasons behind the “minor” delay of the game. It appears that “due to some additional polishing work and gameplay optimization on Resident Evil Revelations 2,” the game’s release date had to be postponed by a week.

Those who prefer to play the game in one go will be able to do so beginning March 17 in North America and March 20 in Europe. These are the full retail release dates confirmed by Capcom along with the one-week delay.

As for the price, each episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 will cost GBP 4.99 / EUR5.99 / USD5.99, whereas the complete season will sell for GBP 19.99 / EUR24.99 / USD24.99. According to Capcom, the game will also be released in retail box format on the same date, but pricing may vary by individual retailers.
