The development team at Capcom working on the new Deep Down action role-playing game says that all the armor sets included in the game will change their appearance and their abilities based on the period that the game simulates.

Gematsu translates a game update which reveals that each new dungeon will challenge gamers to make new selections in order to get the abilities they need so that they can deal with the monsters that inhabit the location.

Capcom says that all armor will be realistically simulated, including such elements like the effect of sheet metal on blows and the way quilting influences its design.

All sets are modular and gamers will need to make sure that they carefully select abilities for each piece they equip.

Deep Down is a free-to-play title that will be launched on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, but does not yet have an official release date.
