Video game publisher Capcom has revealed that it is working on the fifth core installment in its long-running Ace Attorney series, an announcement made when the series celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Capcom stated that the development title for the game was Gyakuten Saiban 5. This means that it will be initially launched on the Japanese market and that it might take some time to be ported to the Western markets.

The publisher has not unveiled which platform the game will be released on, although a presence on the Nintendo 3DS and, possibly, the Wii U, is a given when taking into account the history of the franchise.

A launch window has also not yet been revealed.

Capcom has also announced that the first three titles in the series, Phoenix Wright, Justice for All and Trials and Tribulations will be launched on the iPhone and the iPad.

Players will be able to get two chapters of the game for free and will then have to pay in order to get the full game.
