Christian Svensson, a vice president at Capcom in the United States, says that, despite the limited fanfare surrounding the 25-year anniversary of Mega Man, fans of the characters should expect news about the series soon.

The executive tells Nintendo Power, quoted by PocketGamer, that, “I can say with certainty that you’ve not seen the last of the Blue Bomber on consoles and handhelds, and, with luck, we’ll be celebrating his 50th anniversary, including all of the games you’re going to enjoy over the next 25 years.”

Svensson says that the fan base was disappointed when Capcom talked about Mega Man before they were actually in development and the company is now more cautious about its announcements.

No details are available at the moment but the launch of the Wii U will offer Capcom the perfect occasion to create another full-fledged Mega Man title.
