The company is restructuring all of its operations, dropping third parties

Video game publisher Capcom announces that it is launching an internal restructuring process and that will involve the cancelation of multiple projects that the company is currently working on, although no actual names are offered.

CVG quotes an internal report from Capcom as saying that “due to delays in responding to the digital contents and the resulting inability to address market needs” its overall performance is worse than expected at the start of the year.

Despite the fact that in-house game projects are being canceled in the long term, the publisher wants to stop working with third-party developers and focus on internal teams.

Capcom says that its own Resident Evil 6 has seen strong sales and has raised its internal projections for the end of 2013, which means that at least another big title might be launched in time for Christmas.
