Cheap tablets are a rare luxury, even today, but Pardo Group felt it might as well try to provide this luxury to the best of its ability.

To that end, it created the Canvas Maximo and Canvas Minimo, both with 7-inch touchscreens in 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

The slates are quite similar, with Allwinner A10 processors (Cortex A8 at 1.2 GHz), 512 MB RAM, 3000 mAh batteries, built-in Wi-Fi, 3G dongle support, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Both have 4 GB of internal storage as well, barely enough for the OS. The microSD card slots will have to be used all the time.

The difference between the two is that Maximo has a 2 mp camera at the back and a 0.2-megapixel camera at the front, while the Minimo has only the front camera.

Pardo expects payments of $125 / 93-125 Euro for the Canvas Maximo and $100 / 74-100 Euro for the Minimo. Orders can be placed here.
