Ubuntu Touch has received a number of new updates, but one of the them is quite interesting and allows users to change the names of the files by using the MTP protocol.

Canonical has issued a few new updates for its Ubuntu Touch, improving a number of aspects and fixing a few of the existing problems.

“Image 50 has been kicked out with the latest from the archive. This one contains notably some telephony fix to be able to receive SMS from special numbers.”

“Tests results were especially good on image 49 (94.8% on mako and 96.5% on maguro), image 50 tests are still running, let's cross fingers! You are as well able to rename files through mtp,” said Canonical’s Didier Roche.

A number of problems are still present, but they should be resolved in the next system images.
