All the references about upcoming Canonical product have been removed

Following the incident with the leaked images for its Ubuntu Edge phone, Canonical has decided to remove the timer from the official Ubuntu.com website.

On Friday, Canonical put up a teaser image that was announcing a new product from the British company, and the deadline was on Monday, July 22.

Just one day after the announcement, a series of leaked images hit the Internet and judging by Canonical’s reaction, they might have been authentic.

The company has decided to remove the promo entirely and Ubuntu.com returned to its natural self.

There is no telling when or if the phone is to be announced, given the severity of the leak, and the fact that the surprise element has been dispelled doesn't help much.
