Canonical has published its first update for the Ubuntu Edge crowd-funding project, promising that more options will be added in the near future and introducing the possibility to buy two devices at a lower price.

Ubuntu Edge has already proven that people are interested in the product by reaching 10% of the final goal in less than a day.

The Ubuntu Edge crowd-funding initiative has received some minor criticism regarding the small number of options available (perks). Canonical has answered this plea from the community by adding a new perk called Double Edge.

Users who manage to scrounge up $1400 (€1059) for this perk will receive two devices. The price for only one of these beauties is now $830 (€627). This translates into a substantial discount for the potential buyers.

Ubuntu Edge, the next-generation phone from Canonical, features some amazing hardware and one of its main promises is that it will be able to dual-boot Android and Ubuntu OS.
