An important position is now available for anyone who qualifies

Canonical is looking for a technical lead on the Mir team. The candidate will have to guide the technical architecture and implementation of Mir.

Canonical must deliver Mir for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and it needs a strong hand to muster the development team. For this, the company is now looking for someone who can fill that particular position.

As you would expect, the requirements for this position are quite impressive, to say the least. This miracle worker must have expertise in mobile graphics stacks, strong experience in desktop graphics stacks, the ability to design and develop code in C++, experience with OpenGL, OpenGLES, window management, and a few others. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Given the requirements of this job, it's hard to determine whether there are enough people in North America (where this job is offered) who can meet these conditions.

It's going to be interesting to see who is willing and able to make Mir happen. Check the position requirements on the official Canonical website.
