Canon, one of the photo industry leaders, is rumored to announce a new professional grade “L” lens at the CP+ 2014 that takes place in Tokyo, Japan from February 13 through February 16, 2014.

In addition to that, Canon is also preparing a new consumer prime lens to be announced at the same event, according to CanonRumors. It seems that these lenses won't be aimed at videographers, excluding the possibility for new Cinema EOS lenses.

At the same time, it's possible that Canon will also make a development announcement for a new camera body. This might be the new EOS M3 model mentioned by Canon's Image Communication Products Operation Managing Director and Chief Executive, Mr. Masaya Maeda in a recent interview.

New Cinema EOS cameras and lenses are also planned for 2014 and will be announced at NAB 2014, which takes place in Las Vegas from April 5 through April 10, 2014.
