It seems that the rumors emerged in the past few days about a white EOS 100D body from Canon are true, as today Canon Japan officially announced the new white EOS Kiss X7 / 100D / Rebel SL1 digital SLR.

Unfortunately, the new model doesn't come with anything new besides its white color, when compared with the older black version, but it still remains the world's smallest and lightest APS-C size DSLR on the market.

Canon EOS Kiss X7 features an 18MP sensor powered by a DIGIC 5 14-bit image processor, 95% coverage viewfinder, 1080p HD video recording and weighs only 373g / 0.82lb.

The new EOS Kiss X7 will be available for sale with a double lens kit, which includes the white EOS Kiss X7 body, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM and a white version of the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM pancake lens.

Canon White EOS Kiss X7 will hit Japan's store shelves on November 28, but no information was given about its price.
