Canon VIXIA HF G10 and HF S30 Full HD Flash Camcorders Unveiled at CES 2011

Beside the professional-grade camcorder we've talked about earlier, Canon also brought to CES 2011 a couple of high-end Full HD flash camcorders targeting mostly advanced users, including the new flagship VIXIA HF G10 model and the high-end VIXIA HF S30 camera.

The VIXIA HF G10 Flash Memory camcorder records Full HD 1920 x 1080 video with the help of the Canon 10x HD Video Lens (35mm equivalent of 30.4mm-304mm) with an 8-blade iris, the lens also featuring a dedicated manual-focus ring.

Additionally, the device also leverages the image-capture capabilities of the new HD CMOS Pro Image Sensor, while also featuring a 3.5-inch High Resolution (922,000-dot) Touch Panel LCD and a host of advanced features, including selectable zooming speed, Face-Only AF, Canon's new customizable Cinema-Look Filters and Tele-Macro as well as Touch & Track technology, Smart Auto, Relay Recording, Powered IS, and HD-to-SD Downconversion.

The camera stores videos either within the 32GB internal flash memory or on a memory card inserted in the dual SDXC-compatible card slots which allow for simultaneous card recording, and also includes manual color temperature adjustment (2,000K-15,000K in 100K increments), color bars with test tone, manual shutter speed and aperture control, Native 24p recording and a color viewfinder.

Next in line comes the Canon VIXIA HF S30 Flash Memory camcorder, a full HD video camera that boasts a Canon 10x HD Video Lens and a Canon 1/2.6-inch, 8.59-megapixel Full HD CMOS Image Sensor, accompanied by 32GB of internal memory and two SDXC-compatible card slots.

Additional features worth mentioning about this thing include the 3.5-inch High Resolution (922,000-dot) Touch Panel LCD screen and a color viewfinder, as well as Touch & Track technology, Smart Auto, Relay Recording, Powered IS, HD-to-SD Downconversion, and Advanced Video Snapshot, plus a selectable Zebra patterns and Native 24p recording.

As Canon informs us, both the VIXIA HF G10 Flash Memory camcorder and the VIXIA HF S30 Flash Memory camcorder are scheduled to be available in March at estimated retail prices of $1,499.99 and $1,099.99, respectively.
