Back in March, we told you that the much-awaited Canon Powershot SX60 HS was said to be arriving before summer 2014.

We’re already trespassing the second month of this heated season and the upcoming camera hasn't appeared yet. Sadly, new information suggests we might still have to wait a little while longer before seeing the SX50 HS IS camera come alive.

The New Camera is currently suggesting the producing company is having some production issues with the camera, so launching the SX60HS this summer is out of the question.

However, sources familiar with the matter claim we shouldn't get too depressed about this announcement. Apparently, the new camera will make an appearance at Photokina 2014 in September.

At the same event, Canon is also expected to unveil another camera that has been in the rumor mill a lot lately, the EOS 7D replacement.

There has been conflicting information regarding the much-awaited PowerShot SX50 HS. Early on, some sources claimed the new model will come with a 100x optical zoom lens.

Then another one claimed the camera will ship out with a 60x optical zoom lens with 35mm equivalent of 20-1200mm. The camera was said to come with a 15MP 1/2.3-inch type CMOS sensor.

After a while, word on the street surfaced again saying the SX60HS will boast a 100x optical zoom lens with 35mm equivalent of 20-2000mm.

Now, the most recent report says the camera will have 65X+ zoom lens.

Which one of these bits of info turns out to be true? We will have to wait and see until September.
