While earlier today we stumbled upon the first leaked image of the upcoming Canon entry-level DSLR, the Rebel T4 / EOS 1200D / EOS Kiss X70, and a few new photos of the high-end point-and-shoot PowerShot G1 X Mark II, now it's time to take a look at two of the new compact digital cameras that will be announced tomorrow, February 12.

Digicameinfo has managed to get its hands on two new photos that reveal the design of the new Canon D30 and SX700 HS compact digital cameras. As you can see from the image above, the SX700 HS has a completely new look compared with the SX600 HS introduced last month at CES 2014.

The camera has a stabilized 30x optical zoom lens with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 25-750mm and a maximum aperture of f/3.2-6.9, according to the leaked photo.

In addition to that, the new PowerShot D30 can be submerged at depths up to 25m / 82ft and has a shockproof body that can withstand drops from heights up to 2m / 6.5ft. In comparison, the PowerShot D20 was waterproof only up to 10m / 33ft and shockproof up to 1.5m / 5ft.
