Today, Canon has unveiled new firmware packages targeted at some of its Cinema EOS cameras, namely version 1.1.0.1.00 developed for the EOS C300 and C300 PL devices, and version 1.0.2.1.00 compatible with the EOS C100 product.

The new versions include several changes such as support for 1440x1080 recording mode, ISO 80.000, and GP-E1 GPS receiver, and Flicker Reduction improvements.

In addition to that, the firmware also adds AE Shift and Peripheral Illumination Correction Data functions to Canon’s Cinema and EF lenses, a Key Lock menu setting that allows users to lock all operations, and many other changes that you can view through the download page of each device.

As for installing the new version, each of the available firmware packages contains several update guides; choose a comfortable language, and make sure you read and follow it carefully so that no problems are encountered while upgrading the camera’s firmware.

Moreover, know that the menu and picture settings will rest during the upgrade, so make sure you save them onto an SD card, and load them back after finishing the process.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Canon EOS camera, download the archive, and update the device’s firmware version.
