Announced in January last year, the Canon G1 X features a 14.3MP CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 image processor, and a high ISO sensitivity of up to ISO12,800. The camera is also capable of capturing 14-bit RAW+JPEG images as well as 1080p Full HD video footage.
A recent post on Chinese forum Xitek has revealed a few specs for the Canon G1 X Mark II or G2 X camera that will replace the current G1 X model. It seems that the new model takes advantage of the newer DIGIC 6 image processor and comes packed with a 20.2MP sensor.
The upcoming Canon G1 X Mark II also features a slightly longer lens that has a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-120mm. The camera will most probably be announced at next month's CP+ show in Yokohama, Japan. Check out the rest of the rumored specs below.
