The second Canon mirrorless camera is rumored to launch early 2014

Following our previous report about Canon's second mirrorless camera model, the EOS M2, new rumors emerged with the first possible specs of the upcoming interchangeable lens camera.

According to Japanese website Digicameinfo, the new Canon EOS M2 will be revealed to the public very soon. The camera is rumored to come in two versions (Black and White) as well as various lens kit options.

Apparently, EOS M2 will have the same 18MP APS-C sensor found in Canon 100D / Rebel SL1, powered by a DIGIC5 image processor. The camera will feature a hybrid CMOS autofocus that will make it 2.3 times faster than its predecessor, but will also integrate servo AF for video capture.

Packed in a smaller body size, the Canon EOS M2 will be able of 4.6 frames per second in continuous shooting mode. If you're a fan of low light artistic photography, the new Canon mirrorless camera comes with an ISO sensitivity of up to ISO 25,600, which makes it perfect for this type of photography.

Wi-Fi will also be present within the body allowing you to instantly transfer and share your pictures to a smartphone or printer. It seems that you will also be capable of controlling the camera using a smartphone through a dedicated application.
