The new CMOS AF II system makes EOS M2 2.3 faster than Canon's EOS M digital camera

Canon Japan and Canon China announced a couple of days ago the second Canon mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera, the EOS M2.

As we previously reported, Canon has no plans for the moment to release the new camera in the United States or in Europe and it will focus on the Asian market for the time being.

At the time of launch, Canon Japan also published the first sample pictures as well as a sample video shot with the new camera, but in order to emphasize the faster autofocus system found on the EOS M2, they also posted a video comparing focus speed on both cameras side-by-side.

As you can see from the video above, posted by kOrBeN DaLlOz on his YouTube channel, the new CMOS AF II system is indeed way faster when compared with its counterpart found on the EOS M model.
