14 DAY TRIAL // Canon has recently released firmware version 1.0.9.1.00 for its EOS C300 and C300 PL cameras. The new update makes the C300/C300 PL pair with Apple iOS 6 running devices via WFT-E6 wireless file transmitter and can act as a remote.
Version 1.0.9.1.00 modifies the polarity of the XLR terminal in order to improve compatibility with external audio devices. The pin configuration has been modified as well and can be found in the instruction manual.
The fixes and changes present in previous versions are integrated in the 1.0.9.1.00. Notable changes have been made with the 1.0.8.1.00 version, which made some of the EF lenses that can be mounted on the camera be controlled more reliably.
If your camera already came with the latest version of the firmware, you needn't update. This release addresses devices running 1.0.2.1.00 to 1.0.8.1.00.
