The camera is expected to make a debut on the market somewhere in early 2015

A few months ago, word surfaced saying Canon is gearing up to launch three DSLR cameras this year. One of them is already here, in the form of the Canon EOS 1200D / Rebel T5 / Kiss X70.

The second one will probably be the Canon 7D Mark II, which we have talked about not so long ago, the rumored replacement of the EOS 7D, that has been tipped for unveiling in September, before Photokina 2014 kickstarts.

The third one is said to be a DSLR camera boasting a high-megapixel full frame image sensor, probably the EOS 5D Mark IV, which is expected to arrive in early 2015.

Now fresh information, coming to us via Canonwatch, claims the camera will bring 4K video capabilities to the table. Since 4K is the next big thing when cameras are concerned, this does not come as a shock.

Canon added HD recording to the EOS 5D Mark II (1920 x 1080 resolution), so the company might as well bestow 4K (4095 x 2160) on the EOS 5D Mark IV.

At the moment if you want 4K and you’re also a Canon fan, you have the chance to pick up the EOS-1D C.

Anyway, this is just a rumor so you should take the info with a grain of salt.
