A new Canon cinema camera project with a slick and stylish retro look was recently unveiled by Russian designers Maxim Mezentsev and Aleksandr Suhih.

Inspired by earlier cinema cameras from the 60s and 70s, the two designers decided to create a unique looking cinema camera, which they called Canon Retro Cinema EOS100.

The concept comes with a minimalistic look that carefully blends retro design with modern looks. On the side of the body, you can find the Microphone, A/V Out and HDMI ports covered by a stylish white lid.

The design of the back of the camera is as clean as possible and features a generous LCD display complemented by a small viewfinder.

While this concept takes Canon cinema camera looks a few years back, recent rumors say that the Japanese manufacturer has no plans on making a retro-styled camera in the near future.
