Waiting for the Canon 7D Mark II? Sadly, the new camera won’t arrive soon, according to the latest batch of rumors available online.

Sources familiar with the matter have disclosed the Canon 7D Mark II launch date has been pushed a little further back, due to some issues related to the manufacturing process of the Dual Pixel AF sensor, says PhotographyBay.

The Canon 70D camera also arrived with the Dual Pixel AF sensor, but the Mark II is expected to arrive with an improved version.

And the delay is not affecting this particular camera, but also the Rebel T5i and Rebel SL1 successors that are also expected to employ the same sensor technology. An identical scenario could apply to the EOS M3.

Due to the delays, word on the street has it that the Mark II is now slated for release somewhere in Q3 2014.

For those of you who missed out on the subject earlier, the Canon 7D Mark II is expected to come bundling dual DIGIC V, 10fps, dual memory card slots and 61 AF points.

The camera should have a 3.2-inch LED screen, GPS and Wi-Fi. Its ISO performance is anticipated to get close to the 5D3 and the suggested retail price should be $2,199 / €1,592.
