Some people in Newport, Wales have found an ingenious solution and middleground, by growing cannabis in plain sight in the public flower pots that can be found around the city.
Locals were dumbstruck to see the distinctive plant growing among the other decorative plants in several pots on some of the city's busiest streets. By the time the police was alerted, the plants had been harvested.
More than 20 plants were seen among the begonias and petunias, but law enforcement officials can't know for sure whether they were illegal cannabis plants or something else. CCTV footage is now being analyzed to see whether those responsible for the crop can be identified.
