Candy Crush Saga developer King hasn't stopped issuing legal threats to other video game studios, as after yesterday's threats over the use of the word "candy," it's now serving notices of opposition to The Banner Saga developer Stoic, for the use of the word "saga."
King made a lot of money with Candy Crush Saga and promptly released quite a lot of other games with the word Saga in the title.
Now, it's using the trademarks for those titles to legally threaten other game developers who have dared to use the word in their titles, going first after The Banner Saga studio Stoic.
A notice of opposition has already been posted on the US Patent and Trademark Office, explaining how Stoic is just trying to capitalize on the word Saga made famous by King's own games.
As of yet, a statement from King or Stoic hasn't appeared online.
