The last information we had about Candy Crush Saga coming on Windows Phone dates from the beginning of the year. At that time, sources close to the matter claimed the game might be launched on Windows Phone platform by the end of 2014.

Unfortunately, no other details on King’s smash hit popped up online in a very long time. Today, new info on Candy Crush Saga confirms clearly that developers are still interested in bringing the title to Microsoft’s mobile platform.

According to Yann de Canson, Microsoft’s Apps Product Marketing Manager for Windows & Windows, King’s Candy Crush Saga game will soon be published in Windows Phone Store.

The information comes as a teaser, but proof that Candy Crush Saga is really going to arrive on Windows Phone is given by YouTuber frawintube in the form of a 30-second video showing how the game works on the mobile platform.

It’s unclear whether or not developer King will put a price on Candy Crush Saga for Windows Phone, but the game is available for free on Android and iOS, so we don’t see why it should cost anything on Microsoft’s OS.

Speaking of which, Candy Crush Saga is one of the most popular 3-match puzzle games available on Android and iOS platforms. The game has more than 100 million downloads on Google Play Store and lots of updates that added tons of new levels.

The Windows Phone version of the game might be available for free as well

Currently, both Android and iOS versions of Candy Crush Saga have no less than 440 levels each. Although all these levels will eventually arrive on Windows Phone as well, we’re not sure whether they will be available from the start.

Usually, after porting a game from Android, iOS to Windows Phone, a small gap between versions remains, which is usually filled by the developer in a couple of weeks.

We’re not sure if this will be the case with Candy Crush Saga for Windows Phone as well, but the only thing that matters now is for King to bring their game on this platform and then start delivering updates.

Candy Crush Saga receives monthly updates on all platforms, which add new levels and bug fixes. Windows Phone users should expect the same level of activity from King after the game gets published in Windows Phone Store.

Here is hoping Candy Crush Saga will make it to Windows Phone Store sooner rather than later. We will keep an eye out for any additional details on the matter, so stay tuned for more info.
