Sandy Crocker is a 34-year-old dentist from British Columbia. The Canadian from Kelowna was traveling on vacation to County Clare, Ireland, in 2011, when he met the love of his life.

He was eating breakfast at a small diner in the Irish town of Ennistymon when he spotted her. She was sitting at a table next to him, so he immediately started a conversation. They chatted about the weather and she gave him directions to a local landmark. Their serendipitous conversation lasted for about 2 minutes. Before he could ask “What's your number?,” she was gone.

According to the Canadian National Post, Crocker is looking for the woman in Ennistymon and in neighboring towns. So far, he has spent 4 weeks in the rural County Clare, but hasn't been lucky enough to find Ms. Striking yet. He will now be headed to the region of Cork and Belfast, to continue his quest for the perfect woman.

He describes her as a “striking” Irish woman, with reddish-brown hair and freckles, in her mid to late twenties, wearing brown boots. Apparently, the man's plan is to marry the mystery woman.

“Maybe it’s a shot in the dark, but if it is meant to be, if it’s fate, then I might bump into her walking down the street or in a shop somewhere,” Crocker says.

He even enlisted on PlentyofFish.com and asked users to help him on his journey to love, and, well, marriage. His screen name is “Missing Person Please Help,” and he gives a lovely, yet slightly vague description of the woman he is looking for:

“My breath was taken away to the point of near suffocation. … She was gentle, graceful, the kind of girl who would enter a shoe store and leave with brown boots, [whose] mother probably thought blue glass was pretty and still collectible,” he wrote.

As some asked him what would happen if he found out the woman he is looking for was already married, he responded he would give up pursuing her, as long as the other man made her happy.

“If I meet her again and it turns out she is married to a nice fella — the kind of guy who gives her a hug if she is crying before he asks her what’s wrong — then I don’t think I would have a problem with that,” he said.

The man captured the attention of Irish audiences with his romantic mission, and his story has been featured by many media outlets, increasing his chances to reconnect with said mystery girl.
