14 DAY TRIAL // As an Elvis Presley fan, I am often guilty of being skeptic towards attempts to cover his biggest hits, especially if I feel they stand zero chance of rising to the bar set by the King himself. I approached the video with the same skepticism, but was entirely blown away.
The teen’s name is David Thibault and he hails all the way from Canada and, as you can see for yourself, if Elvis were to have reincarnated, he would have probably chosen his body. Canada, by the way, you are forgiven for unleashing Justin Bieber onto the world.
David stopped by a local radio station and performed the King’s “Blue Christmas” and he did it so well that not only the interviewer was blown away – so was the entire Twitterverse.
As we speak, David’s cover of Elvis’ Christmas song has over 2.1 million views, with most viewers / listeners saying that his voice is the closest thing to Elvis’ besides the man himself. David is the latest viral star and he definitely deserves all the attention he’s getting.
