Virgin Mobile is another wireless carrier to have the high-end Android-based HTC Sensation 4G available for purchase for its customers in Canada.

Starting with July 5th, mobile phone users in the country can head over to the wireless carrier and purchase the smartphone either without committing to a monthly contract, for $549.99, or with one of the monthly agreements the carrier has it store for them.

For example, those who would chose to go for a three-year deal with the wireless carrier will have to pay $149.99 upfront for the handset. They will need to choose a data plan to benefit from the deal, otherwise the handset would cost $349.99.

The same as the Bell flavor of the mobile phone, Virgin Mobile's variant comes with the “4G” part added to its name, as it offers support for fast data transfer speeds on HSPA+ networks.

The wireless carrier notes that the new Android-powered mobile phone is capable of delivering 4G speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps on HSPA+, and that it also comes with WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 capabilities, along with built-in GPS receiver for location-based applications.

Moreover, the HTC Sensation 4G offers a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD resolution, which hides a fast dual-core 1.2GHz application processor beneath it.

The HTC Sensation 4G also comes to the market with 768MB of RAM and 1GB of internal memory, and it can accommodate microSD memory cards of up to 32GB in size (an 8 GB MicroSD included from the start).

On the back, the handset features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for high-definition video recording (1080p HD video capture and playback). There is also a camera on the front, so that users can easily make video calls.

The smartphone runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with the HTC Sense 3.0 UI loaded on top of it, and with access to various applications and services aimed at mobile phone users.
