Experts from India say they country is in desperate need of a large number of cyber security professionals. Canada says it’s willing to collaborate with India on this matter.

According to Stewart Beck, Canada’s high commissioner to India, Canada has a large number of educational institutions that could provide cyber security training to Indians.

“We believe both the countries have some strengths and we need to work together utilizing them...We have ten educational institutions in the province of Ontario alone that provide programs on cyber security. This is how we can collaborate with India,” the official said, cited by The Times of India.

Beck believes cyber security is not the only area in which Canada and India can collaborate. He has suggested that the two countries can also work together on energy security, food security, infrastructure and education.
