Only from Bell Mobility

Bell Mobility, the second largest mobile carrier in Canada, has come up with a promo offer that makes five of its Samsung phones 50% cheaper.

On Bell's official website, all the handsets that have "Samsung sale" written below their presentation can now be bought for half the initial price: Samsung u740, Samsung r610, Samsung m620, Samsung m530 Canadian Olympic Team Edition and the Samsung ACE smartphone.

The offer is available only with the signing of a contract agreement for three years and it doesn't seem to have a "date limit". The new Samsung prices are as follows:

- $0.00 for the dual-screen m620 candybar (free of contract the handset would cost you $249.95);

- $9.95 for the double-flip QWERTY u740 ($284.95 free of contract);

- $19.95 for the r610 slider ($244.95 free of contract);

- $24.95 for m530 Canadian Olympic Team Edition ($299.95 free of contract);

- and $99.95 for the ACE smartphone ($549.95 free of contract);

Bell doesn't give any particular reason for this more than welcomed price cut, but it might have something to do with the upcoming release of Samsung Instinct, the cool touchscreen handset that's already on sale in the US, via Sprint. The Instinct will be offered by Bell starting August (most probably), so the carrier might have thought it should get rid of the current Samsung handset stocks in order to concentrate on better marketing the new touchscreen handset.

There is no word yet about the price of Samsung Instinct from Bell, but it's highly probable that the new phone will be offered for less than $200 with a 3-year contract agreement. Stateside, Sprint is selling the Instinct for only $129 (with an expensive data plan and a contract agreement for two years), hence Canada should get the new handset for a similar price. It's worth mentioning that the Instinct will also be offered in Canada by Telus, so there will be two major carriers to choose from.

Anyway, while awaiting for the Instinct to arrive, Canadian mobile users should check out the "50% off" offer from Bell - maybe they'll find something that fits their needs.
