Are you one of those people who would just love to get their hands on an iPhone 6 but can’t squeeze one in your budget right now? Well, luckily for financially-conscious smartphone enthusiasts, there are ways of getting an iPhone 6-flavored device and not rob a bank either.

We have seen countless iPhone 6 copycats make rounds online and some are better than others, but if you’re seriously considering getting such a model, we thought we’d give you a hand at picking one up.

So we made a list of handsets which in our opinion are the best iPhone 6-lookalikes we have seen so far (in terms of aesthetic design, as hardware is an entirely different matter).

Dakele 3

This awfully named smartphone comes from China with a major advantage over the phone it is trying to copy. It has a sapphire glass display on top of other pretty decent specs.

The Dakele 3 offers a 5-inch 1080 display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution with 441 ppi), a 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Mali-T60 GPU and 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The handset also boasts a 13MP Sony IMX214 sensor as a main shooter and an 8MP Sony IMX219 sensor up front. Other specs include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, TDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA / GSM and a 2,500 mAh battery pack.

More than that, the smartphone is built using premium materials like aircraft grade aluminum while the internal frame is made of titanium. Overall, the Dakele 3 actually looks like a worthy iPhone 6 replacement.

All of these can be yours for just $240 / €213 a pop.

The elusive “Octa-core” smartphone

The “Octa-core” smartphone is one of those products that the manufacturer didn't even bother to give a proper name.

What’s interesting is that on top of copying the iPhone 6’s design, the handset also replicated Samsung’s infamous TouchWiz interface.

Now, moving on to specs, you shouldn't expect to find anything too exciting on board of this particular model. It might look like an iPhone from the outside, but far from being powerful.

The handset comes with a 5-inch display at a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and relies on a MediaTek MT6592M octa-core chip clocked at 1.4GHz fitted with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

It also comes with a 5MP/2MP camera combo and Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. It can be yours for as low as $100 / €78.

ZTE Blade S6

The recent ZTE phone boasts an obvious Apple-flavored design but also packs some interesting specs to match the outside.

It dons a 5-inch laminated HD display and comes equipped with an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset working in concert with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD).

The Blade S6 is also the first device to arrive in the wild with a Snapdragon 615 and with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

In the photo department, there’s a 13MP snapper on the back and a 5MP wide-angle camera up front. The model is sustained by a 2,400 mAh battery.

Meizu MX4

We have to admit that the Meizu MX4 is one of the best-looking iPhone 6 clones we have ever seen. It’s also extremely well specced, so well in fact that AnTuTu awarded it the title of the most powerful Android smartphone of 2014.

The handset includes a 5.36-inch Sharp Full HD+ display, a 2.2GHz octa-core processor, up to 64GB of internal storage, 20.7MP megapixel rear-facing camera, a 3,100 mAh battery, 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.0.

The base model which includes 16GB of internal storage sells for $299 / €263.

Texet iX-maxi

iPhone 6 copying is getting quite popular and not only in China. The next smartphone is actually manufactured in Russia, but unlike some of the models we have talked about so far, it’s quite low-specced.

Sure, its exterior still resembles the iPhone 6’s, but on the inside the Texet is quite disappointing. The device has a 4.7-inch LCD and boasts only 540 x 960 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3GHz and combined with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The handset has a protruding 8MP camera and a 2MP snapper up in the front. The device relies on a pretty insufficient 1,600 mAh battery and can be purchased for $174 / €153.
