The new Integra DTR 5.8 is such a complex piece of HDMI 1.3a that it would be a real waste of time for me trying to spec out things for you, in detail: first of all, this would become a manual, secondly, that would take too much time for both you and me and thirdly, that would be absolutely no fun.

As for the rest, I'll just say that the new Integra receiver was manufactured by Onkyo and that should be a rather enough warrant for its
greatness. Besides this, Onkyo has further specced the Integra DTR 5.8 for custom installers that require something more from the gear than usually found in casual consumer products.

One of the best things about the Integra DTR 5.8 is that it supports RIHD standards: the RIHD stands for Remote Interaction over HDMI and this allows for a perfect integration of customized remote control functions, much for an unrivaled ease in the administering of the overall system. The Integra DTR 5.8 sports two IR sensors and this also helps better working with the two custom zones the receiver can run; no matter whether you'll be tweaking again and again the multi-zone feature or just settle for one room, the Integra DTR 5.8 lets you gain unbelievable control over the way your receiver performs for you.

If you're diehard for 4 or more HDMI inputs maybe you should be looking for another receiver as the Integra DTR 5.8 sports only two and one output. Nevertheless this very neat piece of receiver technology sports 90W per channel in 7-channel surround and comes XM and Sirius-ready: just plug in the proper antenna and you'll be enjoying serious satellite radio in no time. It also sports onboard Ethernet and internal decoding for DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus for Blu-ray and HD DVD audio rich experiences.

Price tag runs around $800.
