Kristen Stewart has no less than 4 movies coming out in 2014, with the first one meant to make you forget about her “Twilight” on-screen persona, Bella Swan: in “Camp X-Ray,” she plays a young woman who enlists the army and is sent to the Guantanamo Bay detention camp to work as a guard.

Photos from the set emerged online months ago, so we all knew how Kristen would look in her army fatigues. Today, we have a first trailer – and I have to admit, it looks quite impressive.

Stewart is stepping outside her comfort zone to play Pvt. Amy Cole, one of the many guards on duty at Gitmo. Contrary to instructions from her superiors, she befriends one of the Muslim inmates and might even take up his cause to prove he’s innocent.

“Camp X-Ray” is written and directed by Peter Sattler, who has recently revealed that Cole was initially supposed to be male. However, when his wife found out that she was pregnant, Sattler became intrigued by the idea of strength and gender, so he changed Cole from male to female.

He knew that this would also impact Cole’s relationship with the Muslim inmates, and he deemed it an angle worth exploring. From the looks of the trailer, he was right on the money.

“Camp X-Ray” also stars Lane Garrison, whom you might remember from “Prison Break.” However, most of the exposure he got in his career is due to the fact that he was accused of vehicular manslaughter in 2007 and was sentenced to 40 months behind bars.

The film will be out in theaters in October this year. Will you be seeing it then?
