On the forth day of the trial, Cameron Diaz vs Photographer, two experts testified that her signature on a
release form was forged.
Yesterday, forensic document expert Bruce Greenwood, who analyzed copies of Ms Diaz's writings, said the signature was a fake. Greenwood testified that some letters from the signature were "slanted completely different" from the handwriting samples he received from her.
George Reis, a forensic image analyst formerly of the Newport Beach Police Department, declared that Diaz's signature appeared to have been Photoshopped from the earlier picture.
Five days ago, Diaz testified she "felt violated" when the photographer, John Rutter, approached the actress in June 2004, offering her a staggering $3.5 million for the photos, trying to extort her, just days before the release of "Charlie's Angels: Fully Loaded".
Also, Cameron affirms that she had never signed on a model release to give ownership of the photos to photographer John Rutter.
"I have never signed my name like that," said Diaz.
Rutter, 42, is charged with attempted grand theft, forgery and perjury for threatening to sell the photos. If convicted, he could face up to six years in prison; an extortion charge has been dropped.
