14 DAY TRIAL // While most of the people who had an opinion on the matter blasted Gwyneth Paltrow for breaking up with her husband Chris Martin after 10 years of marriage, Cameron Diaz is of a different opinion. She thinks it was actually a brave thing to do. Of course, she just happens to be best friends with Gwyneth.
Cameron has spoken out about the split of her bestie Gwyneth and, predictably, she had no bad words to say. Instead, the actress thinks that both members of the couple are “very brave” to have gone ahead with their divorce after having “worked really hard” to make it work.
She is quoted by the Daily Mail as praising the couple “People want them to blow up and it to be ugly, but they're kind, generous, loving people who really care about one another.”
“They've made a conscious effort to separate the part of their lives they don't want to live together anymore, and maintain a really beautiful, strong bond as parents and as friends,” the actress goes on to explain.
And if you didn't know how to feel about this split, Cameron has some advice for you “I think people should really honour that and they should admire it and they should respect it. They've done something really extraordinary, and they've been very brave at presenting that to the public.”
Finally, Cameron also brushes off the rumors that Chris and Gwyneth still have “some tension” between them. In order to prove her point, Martin and Paltrow have taken their children Apple and Moses on a holiday in the Bahamas this week, probably in an effort to break the news more softly to them.
Diaz also confirms that their “conscious uncoupling” hasn't been such a terrible blow and that “they're doing great. Just because they don't want to be a couple together, doesn't mean that they have to hate one another. They are really good friends.”
This goes to contradict some of the previous speculation on the matter that had portrayed Martin as a broken down wreck after he was caught off-guard by this split. It was known that they had issues and that they were working on their marriage, but, apparently, he thought they could eventually make it work.
People found some references about his recently broken heart in his newest song “Magic” in which he gushes about some lost love whom he still appreciates, despite being broken into two. He calls their love “magic.”
