At 41 years old, Cameron Diaz has never been married and doesn’t have children but she always says she’s never felt happier and more accomplished. For the past couple of months, she’s been seeing bad boy Benji Madden and it could just be that he has managed to make her change her mind.

The two have been photographed together on a couple of occasions (in the photo above, they’re seen leaving the gym together) and, while they’re still to make their first official outing as a couple, reports say that they’re past that point where they’re trying to hide their romance.

That’s because they’re madly in love, Star explains in its latest print edition (story via CB). In fact, Cam is so head over heels that she’s completely changed her mind about wanting to have babies. She might even consider giving marriage a try, if this report is anything to go by.

“She’s falling hard. She think he’s The One,” an insider says for the publication, which further reports that Benji and Cameron met through Nicole Richie, who is married to Benji’s brother, Joel. The two have two children together and seem to have discovered the secret to a happy, drama-free marriage in showbiz.

Apparently, all that marital bliss is rubbing off on Cameron because she too is feeling very broody and time-pressured these days – to the extent where she might even consider motherhood without a daddy, if Benji isn’t on the same page as her.

“Cam sees how much joy Nicole gets from her kids,” the tipster shares. “She’s always wanted to be a mom and doesn’t want to wait until it’s too late. If it turns out that she can’t conceive. She’s open to adoption or surrogacy. She’s made up her mind that it’s going to happen within the next two years — whether Benji wants to be involved or not.”

In recent years, particularly after she hit the 35 threshold, Cameron often had to take questions on whether she planned to be a mother because, obviously, her biological clock was ticking loudly. Her most mediated answer was that if she wanted to have babies, she would have had them already, but she also got plenty of headlines when she said that our planet was overcrowded already, so she saw no need to actively participate in that too.

The bottom line is that Cameron was probably honest when she was saying that she was simply not cut out for motherhood, in the sense that she had made a choice about not wanting that in her life. Just because she’s dating a new man and even if she really is in love it's probably not enough to make her change her mind. But we’ll see about that, won’t we?
